I enjoyed getting into the data and learning about what it represents. I learned terminology for data analysis and how to take my work to the next level. I learned to use the Google products, BigQuery and R. I liked seeing the checklists that I’ve carried around in my head put in a physical format.
When I applied what I learned, there was so much to see and think about that I was going in multiple directions. The checklists and journal and activity summary helped keep me on track and gave me a place to store thoughts until I was ready for them. Especially when I’d get bogged down with learning how to do things like get the legend text right on different kinds of charts. I had too many questions and had to refocus each day as I learned more about the data. Set focus to 1) have a complete case study demonstrating use of tools and theory of course in timely manner, and 2) provide results per problem description, trends for fitbit to be used by Bella in particular ref to Leaf Urban.
Google Sites is new to me as well, and it took a couple of days of trying features out before I could get rolling with that tool. For example, table of contents is just for bookmarks for a single page. To create a navigation site table of contents, add text and in the hoovering tool bar select link and create it from scratch. If Google advertised the TOC as being for a single page it would help. I knew what I wanted to do; everything is located in a slightly different place and the thought process of tool design is a little different.
